What is a YouTube Channel ID?
A YouTube Channel ID is a unique, permanent 24-character alphanumeric identifier assigned to every channel by YouTube. It is the core database key used by Google's servers to reference a channel. Unlike custom URLs or handles, it can never be changed, customized, or deleted, serving as a permanent fingerprint.
Every official YouTube Channel ID starts with the letters "UC" (for example: UCgoFStVyEsm8tBZP5NC-aBQ). While users may know a channel by its display name (e.g. MrBeast) or its modern handle (e.g. @mrbeast), programmatic services and third-party widgets rely on this backend ID to pull feeds and channel stats.
